Spectacular Daytime Views and Nightscapes
Tokyo Skytree, Mount Fuji, and Tokyo Bay Area Views
On clear days, the observation deck provides expansive views toward some of the most recognizable landmarks around Tokyo and Chiba. Depending on weather and visibility, visitors can see Tokyo Skytree, Mount Fuji, and Tokyo Disney Resort in the distance.
The elevated location provides a wide perspective that is difficult to experience from street level. The changing scenery throughout the day makes the facility worth visiting in both daylight and evening.
A Beautiful Night View
After sunset, the surrounding city transforms into a vast landscape of illuminated buildings, roads, bridges, and landmarks. The lights of Tokyo Skytree and Ichikawa Bridge are particularly attractive at night.
The ability to see distant city lights from such a high vantage point is one of the main reasons the observation facility has been recognized as a destination for enjoying Japanese nightscapes.
Community Lounge and Cultural Events
Exhibitions and Concerts
The observation facility includes a community lounge that is used for cultural activities as well as relaxation. Exhibitions, concerts, and other events are periodically held here, creating a space where residents and visitors can enjoy art and music alongside the panoramic scenery.
Monthly Light-Down Events
On the third Friday and Saturday of each month, a special light-down event is held. By reducing surrounding lighting, the event creates a different atmosphere from an ordinary night-view experience, allowing visitors to appreciate the city lights in a quieter and more subdued setting.
I-Link Town Ichikawa: A Major Urban Redevelopment Project
The Beginning of the Redevelopment
The I-Link Town Ichikawa district was created as part of the Ichikawa Station South Exit Urban Redevelopment Project. Today, the area is centered on two high-rise towers: The Towers West in Block A and The Towers East in Block B.
The origins of the project date back to the early 1980s. At that time, Ichikawa City was experiencing rapid urbanization and faced challenges including insufficient urban and disaster-prevention functions and deterioration of the residential environment.
In response, the city planned the Ichikawa Station South Exit First-Class Urban Redevelopment Project. The project aimed to create a modern residential district while improving the station area, public spaces, roads, and overall urban environment.
Scale of the Redevelopment Project
The redevelopment area covers approximately 2.6 hectares, with a site area of approximately 16,610 square meters and a total floor area of approximately 141,710 square meters.
The project provides approximately 970 residential units. Construction and planning began in 1993, and the project underwent several revisions in response to changes in social and economic conditions before reaching its present form.
The Meaning Behind the Name “I-Link Town”
The name I-Link Town Ichikawa was selected through a public naming competition in 2005 from 1,149 entries.
The letter “I” represents several ideas, including “I” as an individual, “I” for Ichikawa, encounters between people, and affection for the community. The word “link” expresses the concept of connecting Chiba and Tokyo, connecting nature, history, and culture, and connecting different generations.
The name therefore reflects the redevelopment project’s emphasis on creating connections between people and communities while developing Ichikawa as a modern urban center.

Block A is a 45-story condominium building known as The Towers West Premier Residence. It contains 572 residential units.

The Observation Facility on the 45th Floor
The I-Link Town Observation Facility is located on the 45th floor of Block A. Its observation deck and lounge are open not only to residents but also to visitors from outside Ichikawa.

The attraction becomes particularly memorable after sunset, when the surrounding city lights create a beautiful nightscape. With free admission, cultural events, a community lounge, and an observation deck open to the public, it is an accessible destination for travelers looking for panoramic views without leaving the Ichikawa area.
