There is a café surrounded by flowers and a store selling a variety of loquat goods. Biwa curry, which takes advantage of the sweetness of loquat, and baumkuchen made from loquat puree are recommended. Visitors can also enjoy picking rape blossoms and strawberries.
In 2000, the shop won the top prize at the National Roadside Station Grand Prix, and visitors can also enjoy strawberry picking, flower picking, and edible rape blossoms picking at a nearby farm. Furthermore, in 2015, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism selected the roadside station (6 locations) as a successful example of a “national model,” and its activities have been widely recognized.
The “Ohtsu-no-sato” has the Flower Club Nagaya-mon gate and a large greenhouse, and its 4,000 tsubo (about 1,000 square meters) of land is filled with seasonal flowers. Visitors can enjoy not only flowers such as poppies and goldfish plants, but also rare flowers such as Strelitzia and coral aloe.
Admission to the greenhouse is free, and in addition to picking flowers, visitors can also experience strawberry picking, cactus planting, and loquat leaf dyeing (reservations required).

Recommended menu items include loquat soft serve ice cream, loquat sherbet, loquat tea, loquat leaf tea, loquat parfait, and loquat curry.

Biwa Biwa Club Farm “Hana Club
Beautiful flowers such as poppies, gerberas, goldfish plants, and Strelitzia are grown in the open air throughout the four seasons on the 14,000 square meter premises. Visitors can also pick their favorite flowers and enjoy them according to their budget. Every Monday, a “morning market” is held, selling fresh local vegetables and fruits. A large refrigerated storage facility has been installed so that visitors can enjoy the agricultural experience all year round, and the professional staff has conducted extensive research.
Open-air flower garden and small river walkway
As you walk through the atrium of the Biwa Biwa Club, a small river, crossing stones, and colorful seasonal flowers welcome you across the terrace and along the riverbank. In February and March, rape blossoms spread across the riverbank, reminding you of spring. The flower garden is the best place to take commemorative photos.
Boshu Uchiwa and Karasanori Workshop
Visitors can see the process of making Boshu Uchiwa (Japanese fan) and Karasanori, which has a unique coloring and rustic taste. (The schedule is subject to change, so please inquire.)
Information Corner
Tomiura-cho is a specialty of Boshu loquat, and loquat picking can be enjoyed during the season from late May to mid-June. Information on strawberry picking and flower picking is also available at the Information Corner.
Biwa Club, the first “roadside station” in Chiba Prefecture, was built by the town of Tomiura in 1993 as a “base for industry and culture,” and was named for the loquat, a specialty of the area, and the “club,” where many encounters take place. Observation events in nature, theatrical performances in the atrium, and exhibitions are held to introduce visitors to the many faces of loquat. The store and café offer a selection of specialty products and refreshments carefully selected by the Biwa Biwa Club, and also provide information on picking flowers and fruits and dining.

The Biwa Loquat Club’s directly managed farm boasts a total area of 14,000 square meters. Visitors can appreciate a wide variety of beautiful flowers and pick their favorites.
