Chiba Prefecture is a nature-rich prefecture located on the southeastern side of the Kanto region. The Tokyo Disney Resort has often undergone renovations, and has attracted many fans. Stores and hotels have been built around the Tokyo Disney Resort, including Maihama Ikspiari and Urayasu City, and the area has become a major leisure area.

Chiba Prefecture has long been a major producer of soy sauce, and is home to the headquarters of some of Japan's leading soy sauce makers, including Kikkoman Corporation and Yamasa Soy Sauce Co.

Sawara City, which prospered from the transportation of soy sauce by boat, has become an important preservation area for traditional buildings, with wooden townhouses, storehouses, and Western-style buildings that evoke a sense of history. Walking through the town, looking at the wooden machiya houses, you will feel as if you have stepped back in time to the Edo period.

Chiba Prefecture is also dotted with hot springs, such as Kamogawa Onsen, Shirako Onsen, and Kominato Onsen, where visitors can enjoy hot springs while taking in the magnificent scenery of the Pacific Ocean. In addition to the hot springs, Katsuura Fishing Port, which is one of the largest skipjack landings in Japan, is also located in Chiba Prefecture, offering a rich variety of seafood.

In Chiba Prefecture, you can not only enjoy the natural scenery with your eyes, but also satisfy your appetite.

Surrounded by the sea on three sides and having a mild climate, Chiba Prefecture produces a wide variety of fruits, including melons, loquats, watermelons, pears, strawberries, tangerines, figs, plums, and oysters. Tourist farms scattered throughout the prefecture offer seasonal fruit-picking and all-you-can-eat events that are sure to please fruit lovers.
